FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
01. I've never been to therapy before, what shoud I expect?
First, you will find a time that works within your schedule. We offer flexible daytime, evening and weekend hours to meet everyone’s needs.
Then, we will ask you to fill out some forms that allow us to move forward and provide us with some initial information about you.
Then, we will meet for your free intake session to determine what services you require and if we are a good match.
If so, we will start your therapeutic journey using modalities that resonate with you and the issue you seek to work on.
02. Is online therapy effective?
03. Is it anonymous?
04. What is your approach to therapy?
My approach to therapy is a person-centred, trauma-informed approach. Using a variety of modalities, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), solution-focused and strength-based therapies (SFT and SBT), and emotion-focused therapy (EFT), we create a plan together that works for you.
05. How long does therapy last?
The length of time you are in therapy is entirely up to you.
Some people choose therapy to work on one issue and then stop until they feel they require it again.
Others come to therapy for a set amount of time, take a pause then resume if they think they need further support.
Some come to therapy to manage issues and then stay to gain or maintain new skills.
Therapy is your journey; you decide how much or how little you want.
06. How can I start a session?
07. What are your fees?
Our fees vary depending on the service requested.
Individual counselling fees are $150 per 50-minute session.
